Byron, IL – Lawrence J. Lindquist, age 66, died Friday, January 13, 2012 at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. He was born Jan. 3, 1946 in Daytona Beach, Florida the son to Clarence and Ruth (Knott) Lindquist. He graduated from Milwaukee School of Engineering, obtained his Masters in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Illinois, and his MBA from City University. He obtained his Certificate for Professional Engineers from the State of Wisconsin. He worked all over the United States and South Korea. He worked many years for Sargent and Lundy Engineering of Chicago. Lawrence married HyeCha Beck on Jan. 11, 1968 in South Korea where He served in the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his father.

Survived by his wife HyeCha of Bryon, daughter Jill Lindquist of Chicago, son Jonathan Lindquist of Janesville, WI, Mother Ruth Lindquist of Byron, 2 brothers; Edward (Christine) Lindquist of Leaf River, IL, and Michael (Denise) Lindquist of San Antonio, Texas, 2 sisters; Sheri (Dino) Lindquist of South Carolina, and Susan (Murray)Leerhoff of Mission, Texas, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 11:00 am, Wed., Jan. 18, 2012 at the Farrell Holland Gale Funeral Home, 506 W. Merchant St. Byron, IL. 61010 with the Rev. Michael Mulberry pastor of the United Church of Byron officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Byron Cemetery. A memorial fund is established in Lawrence's name.
