BYRON – Patricia R. Pederson, 77, lifelong area resident, died Monday February 6, 2012 in Swedish-American Hospital, Rockford. Born February 5, 1935 in Winnebago the daughter of James and Dorothy (Wright) McDonald. Married to LeRoy Pederson July 3, 1953 in Byron. She was a 1953 graduate of Byron High School and was employed 13 years at Watt Publishing in Mt. Morris prior to retiring. Pat very much enjoyed crossword puzzles. Survived by her husband, LeRoy “Doc” Pederson of Byron; son, Randy (Joyce) Pederson of Byron; daughters, Cindy Pederson and Lori Pederson, both of Byron; grandchildren, Tony (Kristine) Pederson and Alyssa Pederson; and brother, Lowell McDonald of Wales, FL. Preceded in death by her parents and sister, Elaine. Funeral services will be held at 10:30am Friday February 10 in Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home, Byron, with Pastor Scott Schmidt of All Saints Lutheran Church, Byron, officiating. Burial in Winnebago Cemetery. Visitation Thursday 5:00 – 7:00 pm in the funeral home. Memorials in Pat’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society or Serenity Hospice, Oregon.
