JOHN W. BARNES, 33, of Byron died Friday November 30, 2012 in Byron. He was born December 22, 1978 in Rockford. John was employed by ComEd as a meter reader and enjoyed playing air hockey. Survivors include his adoptive parents, Winfred & Betty Barnes of Byron; father, Thomas (Nova Wise) Barnes of Rockford; daughter, Tyuanna Barnes and her mother, Annette Robinson of Byron; brother, Michael Barnes of Jacksonville, IL; aunt and uncle, Jerry & Bridget Barnes of Rockford, and their children, Nicholas & Sydney; and cousin, Ryan Davis of Byron. Private family graveside service will be held.

A memorial fund, in John's name, has been established at Byron Bank.
