Randall L. Mohr, Sr., 80, of Rockford died unexpectedly Friday Feb. 8, 2013 at Swedish-American Hospital, Rockford. He was born May 7, 1932 in Dundee, Iowa the son of Lewis & Lenore Schreiber Mohr. Randall worked at Rockford Screw Products for several years and retired from Cam Car after 30 years of service. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War, enjoyed fishing, watching soap operas, caring for his roses and vegetable garden, following the Bears and Bulls, and was a long suffering avid Cub fan. Survivors include his significant other, Shirley Ann; children, Debbie (Joe) Ripplinger of Red Bud, IL, Randy (Connie) Mohr, Jr. of Roscoe, Paul (Laurie) Mohr of Rockford, & Glenda (Mark) Grecula of Rockford; grandchildren, Charles, Jacob, Ethan, Ryan, Amanda, Ashley, Brianna, Taylor, Jordan, Steve, Tyler, Stephanie, & Sally; great-grandchildren, Theresa, Deacon, Trinity, Brynleigh, Amya, & Sophia; sisters, Pat Mohr of Oregon and Carol (Phil) Houston of Stillman Valley. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Susan and sister, Betty Wiskerchen. Funeral services will be held Wed. Feb. 13, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home, 136 W. Roosevelt Rd., Stillman Valley with Rev. Scott Schmidt officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 PM. Burial will be in Stillman Valley Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Village of Progress, Oregon.
