Grace Ruth Dietze, 93, of Oregon died Sunday February 10, 2013 in KSB Hospital, Dixon. She was born June 20, 1919 in Chicago, IL the daughter of Arthur & Elsie (Bladorn) Jungblut. She married Arthur W. Dietze at Trinity Lutheran Church in Chicago on June 15, 1940, after a one year courtship. Grace graduated from Austin High School and played as a substitute organist at several Lutheran churches throughout her life. She also directed junior choirs and sang in senior choirs for many years. She also played her accordion for her father's parties for CNW Railroad. She and Art moved to Oregon in 1959 and owned and operated Fischer's Store in Oregon from 1963 until 1980. Grace was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church where she substituted on the organ, sang in the choir, and was a member of the Dorcas Circle. She was also a member of Oregon Country Club for many years and Chapter IU of P.E.O. Thru all the entertaining and fun loving things she did, one thing always stood out---her strong faith in the Lord. Survivors include her husband, Arthur; daughters, Allegra Gicla of Greensboro, NC & Val (Jack) Glotfelty of Oregon; grandchildren, Nicole (Mitchell) Krasowski of Greensboro, NC, Scott (Misty) Beaty of Cedar Rapids, IA, Aaron (Melissa) Beaty of Dekalb, IL, & Tricia (Bill) Grosser; and great grandchildren, Madeline, Kate, Morgan, & David. She was preceded in death by son-in-law, David Beaty. Funeral services will be held Friday February 15, 2013 at 2:00 PM, preceded by visitation from 1:00 until 2:00 PM, in St. Paul Lutheran Church, 5th & Jefferson, Oregon. Burial will be in Daysville Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to St. Paul Lutheran Church, Lutheran Outdoor Ministries Center, or World Hunger.
