Amanda Van Oosten

Oregon – Amanda Sue Van Oosten of Freeport, Illinois, passed away unexpectedly on October 29, 2022.  She was only 42 years old.  She is survived by her beloved son Kylar Early, mother Melody (Bob) Mott, father Randy Van Oosten, sister Ashley Van Oosten, brother Matthew Hinkle, grandparents Bob and Rita Shipman and many more family members and treasured friends.  Amanda was predeceased by her step-father James Hinkle.  Amanda found great purpose in her work as a waitress/hostess.  Her quick wit and infectious laugh will be missed.  When you think of Amanda, celebrate the good memories you have of her.  Remember that life is fragile and short and should be lived to the fullest.  Visitation will take place at Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home, 110 S. 7th Street, Oregon on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 from 4:00 – 6:00 PM followed by a Memorial Service at 6:00 PM with the Pastor Robert Dunbar officiating.  There will also be a Celebration of Life event at the Pretzel City Pub, 1350 West Galena Ave in Freeport, Illinois on Saturday, November 12, 2022 from Noon to 3:00 PM.  Private burial will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Dixon.  A memorial fund is established for her son Kylar’s college and care and may be directed to the family.
