Amber LeAnn Jordan

Amber LeAnn Jordan, age 39, passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 in Calumet Park, IL.  She was born October 13, 1983 in Sterling, Illinois the daughter to Thomas and Sue (Tater) Miatke.  She attended Oregon High School.  Amber married Brian Jordan on July 21, 2012.  She was, first of all, a loving mother to her 2 sons Sebastian and Brayden.  She loved being a mom and helping people.  She became a CNA in Oregon, and has worked as a CNA at Oregon Health Care Center, Sheperd Premier Senior Living in Oregon, KSB Hospital, Kreider Services, and Neighbor’s Nursing Home in Byron.  Amber enjoyed her sunflowers around her house, and spending time with her niece McKenzie Miatke and nephew Amos Miatke.  Her favorite color was purple.  She was also a lover of dogs, especially Shelby, Paris, and Ozie.  Amber was predeceased by her maternal grandparents Samuel and Sara Miller; Charles and Vivian Miatke; cousin Donald Schultz; step-father Leonard Gowers, and grandmother-in-law Pam Arbogast.  She is survived by her husband Brian Jordan of Oregon; her sons Sebastian Alexander Jordan and Brayden Liam Jordan; mother Sue Gowers of Byron; father Thomas and Susie Miatke of Arizona; brother TJ and Amber Miatke of Minnesota; mother-in-law Sheri Jordan (John) Sprott of Minnesota; grandmother-in-law Bonnie Jordan; father-in-law Kevin (Diane) Bartow of Colorado; aunt Raye Tater of Rockfalls; and many other aunts, uncles, and cousins.  A visitation will be held from noon until 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at the Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home, 110 S. 7^th Street in Oregon, Illinois.  A memorial fund is established in Amber’s name and may be directed to her family.
