Audrey L. Macak

Audrey L. Macak, age 89, died peacefully at her home. She was born on May 18, 1937, in Chicago, Illinois the daughter of Harold and Ann (Dzinbinski) Bissell. Audrey graduated from Leyden High School in 1955. She married Joseph W. Macak on September 17, 1955, in Franklin Park, IL. He preceded her in death in 2021 after 65 years of marriage. She was first and foremost a loving mother and grandmother. She loved to read, go to the casino, and cook for her family during the holidays. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Joseph, sister Lorraine Chylewski, and brother Dennis Calvert. She is survived by her children Kevin (Sharon) Macak of Westmont, IL, and Kathleen (Mark) York of Oregon, IL; her brother Kenneth Calvert of Chicago, IL; 3 grandchildren: Michael (Mary) Macak, Douglas (Izzy) Macak, and Mitchell (Taylor) Macak; 5 great grandchildren: Brody, Beckham, Matto, Olivia, and Delaney. A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
