Beverly J. Kufalk

September 2, 1929 — March 21, 2026

Columbus, WI

Beverly Jean Kufalk born on September 2, 1929, in Elgin, Illinois went home to heaven on March 21, 2026 in Columbus, Wisconsin after 96 incredible years. She was the eldest daughter of Rupert and Elinore (Hendee) Cleveland.

Beverly was a graduate of the 1947 Rockford West High School where she transitioned to becoming a college graduate of Kendall College of Chicago, Illinois. Kendall is where she met the love of her life, Robert Kufalk. After an extremely short courtship, Beverly wed Robert “Bob” Kufalk on March 22, 1952.

Beverly loved the life she built with her husband Bob raising their four sons on their farm in Byron, Illinois. She enjoyed the spring with the new crop of calves and enjoyed holding newborn piglets. There was not a cat or dog that went hungry as they learned to wait outside the door for a fresh pancake she made especially for them.

Beverly enjoyed her time outdoors with her family going camping and fishing. She enjoyed participating in the United Church of Christ’s choir and sharing a warm smile to those she came across. Beverly was employed by The First State Bank of Byron and the Byron Medical Clinic. Upon retirement, Beverly and Bob sold the farm and moved to Marquette, WI where she and Bob fished often, and she worked on her quilts for her grandchildren. During the winters they would become snow birds to Punta Gorda, Florida in the Lazy Lagoon Trailer Park.

Beverly is survived by sons Dale (Deb), Rob (Mona), Brad (Maureen), and Doug (Michele) along with grandchildren Stephanie (Jeremiah) Wennmacher, Ryan (Alicia) Kufalk, Kaci (Brian) Casey, Kari (Nick) Ewald, Tyler (Special friend Corrina)Kufalk, Kyle (Brianna) Kufalk, Chelsea (Nate) Hagger, Katie Kufalk, Nick Kufalk, and Hannah Kufalk (Special friend Sam Goethel). Beverly is also survived by her sister Carol (Rex) Parker and many nieces and nephews. Beverly was preceded in death by her husband Robert Kufalk, her sister in-law and brother in-law Verna and Donald Holem, her parents Rupert and Elinore Cleveland, and her father and mother in-laws Roy and Ida Kufalk along with many aunts and uncles.

A private service will be held for family at The Larson House of Columbus, WI.

Beverly’s family would like to thank the many caregivers at the Larson House that made her final years as enjoyable as possible.
