Brenda L. Lamb, age 83, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born December 21, 1942, in Rockford, IL the daughter of Richard and Audrie (Shook) Lawrence. Brenda graduated from Harlem High School in 1961. She married Robert Lamb on September 8, 1961, in Rockford. She formerly worked for Camcar and Textron in Rockford, IL and Kable News in Mt. Morris, IL. Together, she and her husband Bob raised 4 daughters Rhonda, Ginger, Gail, and Dana. She loved spending time with her family. She also enjoyed sewing, quilting, embroidering, shopping, and reading. Brenda loved tending to her flower gardens and her hummingbird feeder. She and Bob spent many vacations on Pelican Lake in Minnesota where she loved to fish with her family. She was predeceased by her parents. She is survived by her husband Bob of Stillman Valley, her daughters Rhonda (Mike) Gale of Oregon, IL; Ginger (Paul) Head of Maysville, NC; Gail (Eric) Seiler of Byron, IL; and Dana (Edward) Jacinto of Davis Junction, IL; her sisters Colleen Straley of Florida and Pat (Mike) Wells of Beloit, WI; her brother Richard “Rick” (Tammy) Lawrence of Loves Park, IL; grandchildren: Angie (Cody) Considine, Jeffrey (Corrinne) Gale, Joe (Britani) Head, Jake (Brittany) Head, Brogan Seiler, Brooklyn Seiler, Evan Jacinto and Levi Jacinto; and 8 great-grandchildren.

There will be no services per Brenda’s request. A memorial fund is established in Brenda’s name and may be directed to her family. The family would like to thank Serenity Hospice and Home for their loving care of Brenda, especially her nurse Sheila and her CNA, C.J. Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home in Stillman Valley is assisting the family.
