Caleb Alan Leifheit

Caleb Alan Leifheit, age 33, passed away on May 21, 2023 in Humboldt Park after losing his struggle with the disease of addiction. He is finally free from his demons. Caleb can’t be defined by his addiction and mistakes. He was so much more than these things. He was a loved son, brother, father, and friend. He was born on August 31, 1989 in Rockford to Tanya Withers and Scott Leifheit. He attended Oregon High School where he was a great soccer player. He had a real passion for sports.  He is survived and missed by his parents, Tanya and Randy Morris of Mt Morris; father, Scott Leifheit; son, Caleb Withers; siblings, Jeffrey (Damiano Dilillo) Leifheit of New York, Bryce (Jordan Wright) Morris of Palatka, FL, Lani (Courtney Rogers) Morris of Dixon, Trask Leifheit, and Jax Leifheit; grandparents, Sandi Withers of Byron, Sandy Taylor of Rockford, Linda Morris of Mt Morris, and Linda (Alan) Cargerman of Oregon; special friend, Mandrel White; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Victor “Toney” Withers and Clarence Morris, and cousins, Scott Bowers, Eric Pepper, and Nathaniel Hillers. A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Miss Carly’s, 1125 5th Ave, Rockford, IL 61104 to help continue her work on outreach to those battling addiction and homelessness.
