OREGON ~ Cathleen Hanora McKenzie, 81, of Oregon, IL and former resident of Loudoun County, VA, passed away suddenly at KSB Hospital in Dixon, IL, on Wednesday, March 20, 2024.  She was born 81 years earlier on March 20, 1943, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Austin R. & Louise (Barbetti) Manley.   She graduated from Mt. She was always supportive of the Veterans in her life as she was a U.S. Navy wife for 20 years; her father, husband and grandson were in the military, as well. Her family and friends were always very near and dear to her heart.   She is survived and missed dearly by her daughters Laura (Curtis) Cook of Oregon, IL, and Lisa McKenzie of Sterling VA; grandchildren: Travis Cook, Drew Cook, David McKenzie, Apryl Lampert, Brandon Lampert; and several great-grandchildren. Cathleen is preceded in death by her parents, former husband Gerald McKenzie and brother Robert Austin Manley.

Cathleen will be laid to rest at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Oak Lawn, IL following a private family service.   In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Darkhorse Lodge in Springville, TN, Oregon Fire Department or Project Humane Polo in Polo, IL.
