Cynthia "Cindy" Sue Stocker

OREGON ~ Cynthia “Cindy” Sue Stocker, age 59, passed away suddenly at her home in Oregon on Sunday, August 27, 2023.  Cindy was born on April 30, 1964, in Dixon, IL,  the daughter of Virgil and Beverly (Mumford) Richardson.  She married Michael “Mike” Allen Stocker on July 9, 1996 in Oregon, IL.  Cindy worked as a CNA at the Oregon Health Care Center for many years.  While working there she built a strong bond with many of the residents who she deeply cared for.  When not working, she enjoyed the Amish culture, reading books about the Amish, listening to country music and watching Lifetime movies.  Cindy was a devoted family lady who loved to spend time with her parents, children, siblings and most of all her grandchildren.  She loved to laugh and had an infectious smile.  

Cindy is predeceased in death by her beloved husband Mike Stocker and brothers Anthony & Jeffery Richardson.

Cindy is survived and missed dearly by her son Thomas (Lindsey) Broadway of Forreston, IL; daughter Kristen Broadway (Earl Mohme) of Shannon, IL; sisters: Rhonda (Tim) Duffy of Stillman Valley, IL and Brenda Harrolle of Oregon, IL;  grandchildren: Jesse Stricker, Skyler Diestelmeier, Tyler Broadway, Owen and Hayden Cagley, Chase and Daniel Broadway, Tadyen and Skylyn Quintero; and her great-grandchild Elijah Thomas Cagley.

A visitation is being held from 10am-12pm on Friday, September 1, 2023 at St. Paul Lutheran Church of Oregon, IL on Jefferson Street,  A Funeral service will follow at 12pm on Friday, September 1, 2023 at St. Paul Lutheran Church of Oregon, IL on Jefferson Street, with Pastor Carl Rasmussen officiating.  Cindy will be laid to rest next to her husband at Chapel Hill Memorial Park in Freeport, IL.
