Cynthia S. Wennmaker

OREGON, IL ~ Cynthia S. Wennmaker, 73, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, June 13, 2024, at Serenity Hospice & Home of Oregon. She was born on March 25, 1951, in Macomb, IL, the daughter of Harold & Inez “Pat” (Hutchens) Kline. Throughout her life she worked as a parole officer for the Illinois Department of Corrections, a case worker for The Department of Children and Family Services, and later for both the Meridian and Oregon School Districts before her retirement in 2012. She married the love of her life Steven Wennmaker on January 2, 1985, in Champaign County, IL. She enjoyed many simple things in life like researching her ancestry and herbal gardening. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother James Kline. Cynthia is survived and missed dearly by her loving husband Steven of Oregon, IL; son Matthew (Danielle) Wennmaker of Geneva, IL; daughter Kristian (Mike) Christen of Brodhead, WI; grandchildren Justin & Mason; brother Ronald (Sue) Kline of Colchester, IL; and nephews Eli & Charlie. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make a donation to the American Lung Association. Cremation rites will take place. There are no services scheduled at this time.
