David Lee Snyder, 80, of Leaf River, Died on June 4, 2025 at OSF Hospital, Dixon, IL. 

David was born February 12, 1945 in Dixon, the son of Charles and Rosetta (Eakle) Snyder. 

Davis was married to the love of his life, Chris, on September 4, 1971. They were married for nearly 54 years and loved traveling the world over. 

David was employed by Rockford Blacktop for over 35 years as a Local 150 heavy equipment operator. 

He is survived by his wife Chris, brother Kenneth (Connie) of Stillman Valley, and one sister Carolyn Wyllie of Byron.  Also many nieces and nephews and a multitude of friends.  He will be missed by so many coffee buddies. 

David is preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Chuck, Bob and infant brother Eugene; 3 sisters: Joyce, Mary and Pat. 

A visitation will be held in his honor on Monday, June 9, 2025 between the hours of  10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Farrell Holland Gale Funeral Home at 506 W. Merchant St, Byron, IL, 61010. Immediately following the visitation beginning at 12:00 PM ending at 4:00 PM, a memorial gathering will be held to honor him at the Jarret Prairie Center at 7993 N. River Road, Byron, IL, 61010. Memorials are established in his name and may be directed to the Special Olympics or The Village of Progress.
