Deborah “Debbie” Rose was born October 6, 1949 to Chet and Betty Kobel in Elgin, IL. Debbie lived most of her life in Byron, Il, where she raised two daughters with her husband Larry, whom she married on February 13, 1971. Deb loved her role as sister and shared her love, card skills and wisdom with them all. Deb was a stay at home mom, while running an in-home daycare so she could be available for her own children. Deb was an exceptional seamstress and loved creating and crafting. Playing bridge and games, baking, water aerobics and vacationing at the beach were some of Deb’s very favorite things. Deb loved celebrating holidays and occasions with her family and friends!
She is survived by Larry, her husband of 55 1/2 years, two daughters and their husband’s, Kari and Ryan Schipper and Kristi and Nick Sauser. She dearly loved her 5 grandchildren Mason, Noah, Stella, Lucy and Gus with everything she had. She is also survived by her 5 loving sisters (and their husbands), along with many other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in -law, Daniel Reilly.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday October 14, 2026. Visitation will be from 12-2:00pm with funeral following at Farrell Holland Gale Funeral Home in Byron, IL. Private burial to follow.
