Eileen Mary "Toots" Alderks

Eileen “Toots” Mary Alderks (age 83) passed away on January 30, 2022 peacefully at Cherryvale Place, Rockford, IL.  Eileen, born April 2nd, 1938, was married to Harold Alderks (deceased) for 58 years. The wedding took place at the United Methodist Church in Monroe Center, IL on October 19, 1956. During their marriage they had four children: Jean Lawrence of Tarentum PA, Larry (Luann) Alderks of Dundas MN, Wayne (Nancy) Alderks of Loves Park IL, and Barbara (John) Stryzak of Glendale Heights IL. During her life, Eileen was blessed with eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Eileen was the heart and caretaker of her family and home. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed the quality time she was able to spend with her family. Among the joys in her life were dancing, playing cards, visiting family, and supporting those closest to her.  Eileen was preceded in death by her parents Tom and Ina Frantz, her brother Ralph Frantz, and her husband Harold. She is survived by her 2 sisters Joyce McKnight, Dorothy Evans, and brother Lyle Frantz.  Funeral services will be held at Elim Reformed Church at 11:00 on Saturday, February 5, 2022. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service from 10:00 am, to 11:00 am. Burial will follow the services at the White Rock Cemetery. The children and other family members will be available for a short period of time at the church after the burial.  A memorial fund is established in Eileen’s name for ProMedica Palliative Care of Rockford.
