Helen L. Blue

Helen L. Blue, passed away at Serenity Hospice and Home on April 19, 2023. She was born in Bakersfield, CA on April 18, 1927 the daughter of John and Mary (Scott) Harmon. When Helen was a teen she met the love of her life, Slagle Case. They married on February 21, 1945 and spent 35 years together before he passed away on May 29, 1980. Helen loved being a farm wife and spending time outdoors working and tending to her flower garden. She attended the United Church of Christ. Helen loved animals especially her cats and dogs. She is survived and missed by her daughters, Mary (Arlen) Carl of Hinkley, IL, Linda Wells of Lexington, IL, Connie (Jim) Dick of Beloit, WI, and Vickie Wilcoxen of Rockford, IL; 10 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 9 great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, grandchildren, Kelly and Katherine, great grandson, Adam, and son-in-law, Scott Wilcoxen. Private services were held.
