Jean E. Eads

Jean E. Eads, 84, of Mt. Morris died Saturday, October 10, 2020 in Pinecrest Manor, Mt. Morris. Born November 27, 1935 in San Diego, CA, the daughter of Orville and Flavia Lueker. Jean graduated from Grossmont High School in La Mesa, CA and then joined the US Navy where she served in the secretarial pool. She moved to Mt. Morris from California in 1994 and was employed at Kable News nearly 20 years. Jean was a faithful member of Disciples United Methodist Church and a member of the Mt. Morris American Legion. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, word puzzles, reading and collecting owl momentos. Survived by her daughter, Linda (John) Baker of Mt. Morris; sons, Jon Eads of Maryland and Craig Eads of California;  grandchildren, Mike Eads, Nick (Mia) Eads and  Haylee Baker; and 2 great grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents and 2 brothers. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, private visitation and funeral services will be held in Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home, Oregon. Burial in Plainview Cemetery, Mt. Morris. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Jean’s name may be made to the Memory Care Section, Pinecrest Manor.
