Jerri Kaye Campbell, age 81, passed away at Generations at Neighbors in Byron on November 21, 2025. She was born in Portland, OR the daughter of Walter and Mildred (Hoover) MacKnight. Jerri was a strong and courageous woman who would do anything for the ones she loved. She was an amazing mother who never missed an opportunity to show her sons that they were her world. She believed in making the world a better place and used that passion to serve others volunteering for the Salvation Army and New Life Car Care. She loved traveling and seeing the world but also found joy in the small everyday things like going to Walmart which became her favorite store. Jerri was crafty and enjoyed doing needle point, crocheting, and making curtains. But, her favorite way to pass the time was sitting out in the sun and soaking up the warm sunshine. Jerri loved having her family around so she could cook for them and make sure they felt all the love she carried for them and those surviving will miss her honesty and care.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Donnell Lee Campbell, and son, Michael Lee Campbell. She is survived and missed by her son, Walter-Kelly (Anne Marie) Campbell and cousins, Larry Hoover, Pam Hoover, and Donna Rae Hoover. A celebration of life gathering will be held from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at Monroe Center Community Church concluding with a memorial service to begin at 12:00 PM at the church with Pastor Bob Melon officiating.
