Karl L. Walk

Karl Leslie Walk, 67, went home to live with his Lord in Heaven at his home in Denton, TX on Saturday December 6, 2025, from a 3.5-year battle with pancreatic cancer. Born December 8, 1957, in Belvidere, IL to the late Leslie (Bud) Walk and Eleanor Smith Gable. Karl graduated from Belvidere High School in 1976 and started milking cows and farming in 1979 after his marriage to Tracy (DeVries) for several years before he went to work for Youngberg Industries and later Glendenning Brothers. The family moved to Texas in 2007 and met wonderful friends there along with work colleagues that were like family. Karl retired from MICA Corporation November 7, 2025, just one month before his death. Karl liked to watch college football, smoke a good cigar and chat on the phone with his boys and friends. Karl and Tracy enjoyed keeping busy doing projects together and just completed one weeks before his passing.

Karl is survived and will be missed by his wife of 46 years Tracy, their 2 sons Kyle (Marybeth) Honolulu, HI, and Kory (Alexis) Byron, IL. Three grandchildren Kohen & Adley Walk in Byron and Kooper Walk in Honolulu. Mother Eleanor Gable, two sisters Judy (Carl) McClenthen, and Beverly Callow. Brothers-in-law Todd (Mary) DeVries, Tim (Lori) DeVries, sister-in-law Terri DeVries and mother-in-law Arkie Grubb.

A gathering will be held in Texas on December 20th at the home of Bob and Darlene West, 2740 FM 407, Northlake, TX 76247, from 1-3pm. A service at Stonebridge Church 5183 Pebble Creek Trail, Loves Park, IL 61111, on December 27 at 10:30pm.
