Kathleen F. Thomas

Kathleen F. "Kathy" Thomas, 80, of Oregon, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at Generations at Neighbors in Byron.

She was born November 25, 1945, the daughter of John Graf and Lillian (Smith) Kindermann. Kathy graduated from Mt. Morris High School in 1963. On February 21, 1964, she married Robert F. Thomas in Mt. Morris; he preceded her in death in February 2004. A devoted homemaker, Kathy also held a variety of jobs in the Oregon area and was cherished for her love and commitment to family.

Survivors include her son Kevin (Jean Ann) Thomas of Rochelle; daughter Michelle (Todd) Paetow of Louisville, KY; grandchildren Rachel Cotrell, Kara Thomas and Trevor Paetow; great-grandchildren Avery and Abel Cotrell; and brothers Mike (Beverly) Graf of Mesa, AZ, and Dennis (Christine) Graf of Peoria, AZ. She was preceded in death by her grandson Ryan Paetow.

A private burial will be held at a later date at Daysville Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation (crohnscolitisfoundation.org). The family wishes to thank the staff at Generations at Neighbors for their compassionate care.
