Kevin Carter, born in 1962 in Rockford, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 4th, surrounded by the love of his family. Kevin approached life head-on and was known for his strong will, steady determination, and generous heart. He was a kind man, a loyal friend, and someone who made people feel comfortable simply by being himself.
Kevin shared a loving life with his wife, Chris Carter, and was deeply devoted to his family. He was a proud father to his son, Anthony Carter, and his daughters, Marie, Jenny, and Sarah. Being “Grandpa” to Nathan, Gabriel, Isabelle, Ophelia, and Gracelyn was one of his greatest joys, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
A lifelong lover of antique cars, Kevin had a special place in his heart for the Ford Model T. He admired the craftsmanship, history, and character behind each vehicle, much like the people he valued in his own life. Whether lending a hand, sharing a story, or offering quiet support, Kevin showed up for others in meaningful ways, and was the cornerstone in the many lives he touched.
Above all, Kevin was a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather, and a man of strength, kindness, and perseverance. He will be remembered for his strong will, warm spirit, and the genuine care he showed to everyone around him. His legacy lives on through the family he loved so deeply and the many lives he touched. We know you will always be with us.
