Linda K. Sullivan - Allen

Linda K. Sullivan-Allen, age 73, passed away peacefully with her loving husband and daughter by her side on Tuesday February 20, 2024 at OSF St. Anthony’s Medical Center in Rockford, IL. Linda was born in Michigan City, Indiana on March 19, 1950, the daughter of Millard and Helen (Biggerstaff) Sullivan.  She graduated from Guilford High School.  After graduating she began working at GTE for 13 years.  Linda then joined Collins Aerospace in Rockford, IL, where she remained for 28 years until retirement.  In the process she acquired a group of friends that would last a lifetime.

Linda enjoyed traveling to see her daughters in Florida, along with trips to the Virgin Islands and Las Vegas with her close and dear friends.  Linda took pride in her home, including gardening, yardwork and home projects.  In addition, she enjoyed watching football, baseball, and NASCAR.

She took great joy in spending time with her daughters and grandchildren.

Linda and Bob Allen became a couple in 2007 and married in 2020.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents Millard & Helen.

She is survived and missed dearly by her loving husband Bob of Monroe Center, IL; daughters Tona (Chris) Gargani of Neptune Beach, FL, Shana (Jeff) Pearce of Brandon, FL, Ashley (Nicholaus) Bontjes of Caledonia, IL; stepchildren, Kelli (Matt) Vipond of Rockford, IL, Liz (Dan) Vaughn of Cortland, IL, Adam Deschepper of Rockford, IL and Amy (Mike) Baxter of Machesney Park, IL; brother Rick (Nancy) Sullivan of Holcomb, IL; and grandchildren Jaiden Lee, Dawson (Abigail) Pearce, Madison Pearce, Kent Bontjes, Heidi Bontjes and Brody Bontjes.

A celebration of life will be held at the SM&SF Club on Sandy Hallow Rd in Rockford, IL on March 17, 2024 (St. Patrick's Day) between the hours of 1:00 pm and 5:00 pm. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you donate to the Patricia D. Pepe Center for Cancer Care located at OSF St. Anthony’s Medical Center.
