Marjean A. Miller

LEAF RIVER, IL ~ Marjean A. Miller, 89, passed away at Swedish American Hospital of Rockford, IL, on Friday, May 16, 2025. She was born on October 23, 1935, in Byron, IL, the daughter of Walter & Lena (Bocker) Stukenberg. Marjean lived her life simply, enjoying things like garage sales, her soap opera “stories” and reading. Her favorite thing in life, however, was her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Delbert Miller, daughter Deb, grandson Robby, sisters Lanora Fegan, Deloris Wahl, Gloria Winterton, and brothers Ron and Laverne Stukenberg. Marjean is survived by her loving children Shari Grove of Davis Junction, IL; Bradley (Carla) Miller of Leaf River, IL; Daniel (Julie) Miller of Rochelle, IL; sisters Diane (Larry) Jones of Marshall Town, IA; Beverly Love of Byron, IL; many, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren and special friends Suzanne Lewis; and Wendy Seibert.

Cremation rites have been scheduled and Marjean will be laid to rest alongside her husband at LightsVille Cemetery of Leaf River, IL. A graveside service is planned to honor her on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, beginning at 11:00 AM with pastor Randy Snider presiding.  Immediately following the graveside services, a Celebration of Life will be held at The Barn on the Hill located at 7 IL Rt 72, Leaf River, IL, 61047, with lunch being provided. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in her name to the Leaf River Historical Society and Museum.
