Marjie M. Myers, age 76, passed away at Serenity Hospice and Home in Oregon on April 19, 2024. She was born in Freeport on May 20, 1947. Marjie married the love of her life, Larry Myers on June 22, 1963 in Adeline and together they built a beautiful life together over the next 60 years. Marjie believed in working hard and worked for Kable Printing, Pacific Scientific, and Honeywell. In her spare time; she loved to sew. She could sew anything but her biggest passion was quilting. She was a member of multiple quilting organizations in Ogle and Winnebago County. She loved attending quilt shows and quilt retreats in Iron River, MI with her husband by her side. She enjoyed doing life with Larry and spending time together taking road trips in their camper to watch their granddaughter’s sporting events or just going out for dinner. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who will be remembered for her generous, kind, and giving attitude. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister, and two brothers. She is survived and missed by her husband, Larry; children, Carolyn Myers and Tommy (Susan LaPoint) Myers; sister, Marcie (Joe) Conder; grandchildren, Jeff (Jessica) Myers, Crystal (Justin Burke) Myers, Amber (Fred Uryasz) Myers, and Madison Myers and great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Myers, Blake Myers, and Kyliee Myers. Per Marjie’s request no services are being held at this time.
