Oregon, IL

Michael Moseley, 42, of Oregon, Illinois, passed away on July 7, 2026.

Michael was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, family member, and friend whose kindness, humor, and generous spirit touched the lives of everyone who knew him. He was known for his willingness to lend a helping hand, his love for spending time with family and friends, and the countless memories he created with those closest to him. His presence brought comfort, laughter, and joy, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.

Michael was born on February 3, 1984, in Lubbock, Texas, to Bobby Moseley and Krista Boswell. While attending Eureka College, he met the love of his life, Megan. The two were married on June 22, 2014, in an elegant garden wedding, beginning a life together centered on love, laughter, and family. Michael began his career working at several car dealerships before spending the majority of his career at Ken Nelson Toyota, where he proudly served as the Toyota Sales Manager. He was well respected by his coworkers and built lasting relationships with customers and friends throughout his career.

Michael found joy in life's simple moments. He loved spending time outdoors fishing, cheering on his beloved Texas Longhorns, relaxing with a good video game or movie, and cooking what family and friends would agree were the best steaks around. More than anything, he treasured the time he spent with his wife and children. Whether they were playing games, making harmless bets, or simply laughing together, Michael made every moment fun and memorable. He was known for his playful spirit and competitive nature, especially during board games and while wrestling with his nephews. His quick wit, contagious sense of humor, and ability to make everyone around him laugh will forever be remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Michael is survived by his loving wife, Megan Moseley; his children, Mckenna Moseley, Mia Moseley, and Maverick Moseley; his father, Bobby Moseley; his mother, Krista Boswell; his sister, Maegan (Mark) Stanga; his parents-in-law, Robert and Rhonda Waggoner; his brother-in-law, Michael (Caryn) Waggoner; his sister-in-law, Melissa (Marcus) Simmons; along with many cherished nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, coworkers, and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Odes DeVerle and Peggy Boswell; his paternal grandparents, M L and Wanda Moseley; and his uncle, Terre Boswell.

Michael's family asks that he be remembered for the kindness he shared, the laughter he brought to every gathering, and the unconditional love he gave so freely. Though his time with us was far too short, his legacy lives on in the memories he created, the fish tales he loved to tell, the steaks he grilled, the laughter he sparked, and the unwavering love he gave to his family and friends. He will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
