Michelle "Shelly" Triplett

January 26, 1973 — February 11, 2023

Byron

Michelle “Shelly” Tubbs Triplett, age 50, passed away suddenly on February 11, 2023. She was born in Rochelle, IL on January 26, 1973 and is the daughter of Billy Joe and Susan (Parmentier) Tubbs. She grew up in the Byron area and is a Byron High School Alumni. She married Todd Triplett on July 1, 2016 and together they owned and operated Trippie’s Bar & Grill in Oregon. The most important thing in Shelly’s life were her children. She consistently put them first and was a proud Army mom and Byron football mom. She was always involved with the football team, helped run the military moms organization, and helped manage her son’s barbershop. You did not have to be her biological children for her to love and support you with all of her heart. She was the most unselfish person that many would ever meet. She was never worried about herself but was instead concerned with how she could put others first and make them smile. Shelly was an animal lover; especially dogs and always wanted to make sure that animals were rescued, loved, and given a good home. Music was her life. She loved live music and going to concerts making sure to take her family with her whenever she could. You could find her listening to all kinds of music but her favorite band was Blue October. She was an integral part of the live music at Byronfest and putting together the big rock concert at Byron Speedway. Shelly loved spending mornings on the pontoon boat wither her husband and dogs; drinking coffee and enjoying the moment. If she wasn’t on the river you may find her driving her golf cart with her little dog, Lenny by her side or enjoying a ride on the Harley. Shelly liked to stay active and would take her children rollerblading when they were growing up. If she had down time you could find her watching true crime on ID Network or playing Candy Crush. She is survived and missed by her husband, Todd Triplett of Byron; children, Camryn (Adam) Gallardo of Germany, Savanna Harper of Byron, Caden Triplett of Georgia, Drew Harper (Grace Voiles) of Byron, and Courtney (Sam) Snider of Byron; mother, Susan Tubbs of Byron; grandparents, Paul and Maxine Parmentier of Rockford; sister, Mandy (Court) Imel of Byron, grandchildren, Parker and Payten Snider; niece, Hope Imel; and dogs, Mocha, Ruby, Curly, Mikey, Jay, and Maizie. She is preceded in death by her father, Billy Joe and brother Michael Tubbs. Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 PM on Friday, February 17, 2023 at the Farrell Holland Gale Funeral Home in Byron concluding with a celebration of her well lived life beginning at 7:00 PM.
