Naomi Juanita Young

Oregon, IL ~ Naomi Juanita Young, age 80 and formerly of Chicago, IL, passed away at Shepherd Premier Senior Living of Oregon on Wednesday, November 1, 2023.  Naomi was born the daughter of John and Frances (Siedlecki) Young in Chicago, IL, on November 14, 1942.  Naomi attended school at St Christina’s Catholic School in Chicago, IL and Carl Sandburg High School in Orland Park, IL.  After high school she attended Chicago Teachers College in Chicago, IL.  In life, Naomi enjoyed many things that included working with stained glass, art history, and painting watercolors.  She loved to listen to music of all kinds and watching movies. One of her favorite pastimes was cooking and baking.  She loved the holidays because it gave her a chance to cook and bake for her family and friends.  One of her specialties was making cheesecakes.  Naomi also enjoyed the company of her beloved cats. Naomi is preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.  She is survived by her brother John Young of Oregon, IL and her sister Carol Young of Oak Park, IL.  At Naomi's request, no services are planned.
