LEAF RIVER, IL ~ Pamela “Pam” Lising Ellorando, age 57, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at her home in Leaf River, IL. She was born on March 5, 1968, in the Philippines, the daughter of Pedro & Amelia (Rocha) Lising. Pam grew up in the Philippines and went on to graduate from Philippines Women’s University with a bachelor’s degree in nursing in 1989. She worked as a Registered Nurse at Cook County Hospital for 12 years before working at KSB hospital in Dixon, IL for another 13 years. On November 11, 1992, she married Nephtali “Nep” Ellorando, and the two started a family, spending many wonderful years together. Throughout her life, Pam enjoyed being creative, whether it be by singing, sewing, gardening, or even decorating for different seasons and events. Pam loved to plan parties, events, and trips that she would take with her family. She could also often be found in the kitchen, cooking for her family, she loved to make food and share it with those she loved. Pam was a woman of faith, she was formerly a member at St. Pat’s Catholic Church of Dixon, IL, before joining St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Byron, IL.
She is preceded in death by her parents Pedro & Amelia, and brothers, Daniel Lising, Alamo “Tok Tok” Lising, and Jesus “Jessie” Lising. Pam is survived and missed dearly by her loving husband Nep Ellorando; sons Kenneth (Zheng) Ellorando; Dean Ellorando; brothers Nolasco “Noli” Lising; Celso “Choy” (Millett) Lising; sisters Perscilla “Ni Ni” (Caref) Monta de Ramos; Fe (Rene) Lenon; Araceli “Cely” Barbosa; Jocelyn “Talin” (Paul) Elwertowski; Angelica “Jeng” (Edwin) Orbe; a granddaughter expected next March; and many dear nieces & nephews.
A visitation will be taking place on the evening of Friday, December 19, 2025, between the hours of 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM at St. Mary's Catholic Church of 220 E. 2nd St, Byron, IL, 61010. Rosary prayers will take place to close out the visitation hours beginning at 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place the following day, Saturday, December 20, 2025, beginning at 11:00 AM at the church with Father Mio Pavino presiding. Immediately following the Mass, Pam will be laid to rest at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery of Byron, IL. Memorials are established in her name and may be directed to St. Mary's Catholic Church of Byron, IL.
