Oregon – Patricia K. “Pat” Oltmanns, age 79, died Friday, January 22, 2021 at the Oregon Living and Rehabilitation Center. She was born November 12, 1941 in Dixon, Illinois the daughter of William “Albert” and LaVonne “Babe” (Frey) Schmidt. She graduated from Mt. Morris High School in 1959 and then attended Beautician School in Sterling, IL. She married Richard K. Oltmanns on June 9, 1962 at the Emmanuel United Brethren Church in Polo, Illinois. He preceded her in death in Nov. of 2009. Pat operated her own Beauty Salon out of her home for many years and also helped operate the family farm with her husband Richard. She was a longtime member of the Ebenezer Reformed Church where she also participated in the Ladies Aid of the church. She loved to garden and was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan. Most of all she loved to spend time with her family. Besides her husband she was also predeceased by her parents and brother Ron Schmidt. She is survived by her loving children; Kenneth Oltmanns of Dixon, Kevin (Heidi) Oltmanns of Byron, and Kathy Snodgrass of Chana, 2 brothers; Richard Schmidt of Mt. Morris and Gary (Ann) Schmidt of Sterling, 5 grandchildren; Amber (Timm) DeVries of Davis Junction, Zachary (Erika) Oltmanns of Davis Junction, Molly (Josh) Mattus of Omaha, Nebraska, Mathew Oltmanns of Oregon, and Brandon Snodgrass of Dixon, and 7 great grandchildren; Thea, Arlo, Jace, Remington, Kinley, Cooper, and Daxton. Funeral service will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, Jan. 28, 2021 at the Ebenezer Reformed Church, 2997 North German Church Road Oregon, IL 61061 with the Rev. Josiah Youngquist pastor of the church officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour prior from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the church on Thursday. Please wear a mask and practice social distancing at the church. A memorial fund is established for the Oregon Health Care Center. Burial will be in the Ebenezer Cemetery following the service. Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home in Oregon is assisting the family.
