ADEL, IA ~ Peggy “Peg” Anne Deloriea, age 66, went home to be with Jesus Christ after a long battle with health complications in her home in Chana, IL, on Tuesday, March 31, 2026. She was born January 20, 1960, in Rockford, IL, the daughter of Leo R. & Margene H. (Huntley) Rager. Peggy loved the outdoors, especially the woods, from a young age; she would collect and polish rocks, go fishing and camping, she loved to make friends and tell stories; she loved to share her joy with others. Peg dedicated her entire life to the service of others; she was a paramedic for the girl scouts, was in the North Carolina Militia and worked in end-of-life care helping comfort the terminally ill. A particularly proud title she held was with Optimae Life Services as a business manager, helping provide employment for the mentally disabled. She loved the people she worked with and served. Peg’s dedication to helping others was also very evident in her faith and devotion to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Her relationship with Christ was truly her life-long quest. She loved music, and her love of music led her to meet her second husband Philip J. Deloriea at a worship team. The two fell in love and got married on March 18, 2007 at the New Life Church of Winnebago, IL. She joins several of her beloved family in heaven, including her parents Leo & Margene, and her brothers Stanley “Stan” Rager and Steve Rager. She is survived and missed dearly by her loving husband Phil Deloriea of Adel, IA; son Quinton Snook of Oregon, IL; daughters Angela Snook of Virginia; Amy Snook of North Carolina; Jessica Boyce of Greenbush Maine; grandchildren George, Christina, Anna, Liam; brother Micheal (Kathie) Rager of Chana, IL; sister Darcey (Al) Nelson of Chana, IL; and many nieces and nephews.
Peggy will be honored with a visitation on Thursday, April 9th, 2026 between the hours of 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM which will take place at Farrell Holland Gale Funeral Home of 110 S. 7th St, Oregon, IL, 61061. A funeral service commemorating her life of service will be held on Friday, April 10th beginning at 10:30 AM at Oregon Church of God, Oregon Trail Rd, Oregon, IL. Immediately following the funeral services, Peg will be laid to rest alongside her mother at Daysville Cemetery, of Oregon, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to Serenity Hospice & Home of Oregon, IL.
