Rene Marie Kovar

Marie Kovar, age 68, died peacefully at home on Friday, June 12th, 2026. She was born September 18, 1957, in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, the daughter of Robert and Amy (Dretske) Christensen. She and Ken Kovar were married on April 3, 1981, in Waukegan, IL. She and her husband Ken had 2 children, Christina and James

She loved spending time with her family. She also enjoyed her collections and hobbies, traveling, animals, and shopping. She was predeceased by her parents and her brother, Robert. She is survived by her husband Ken of Stillman Valley, her daughter Christina of Roscoe, IL; and her son James (Tineke) of Davis Junction, IL; and her granddaughter, Ashley, who held a special place in her heart.

There will be no services per Marie’s request. The family would like to thank everyone at Serenity Hospice and Home for their help and kindness. Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home in Stillman Valley is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the American Cancer Society.
