Stillman Valley, IL – Rosita M. Bucey, age 71, died Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Swedish American Hospital in Rockford.  She was born November 11, 1950 in Grand Falls, New Brunswick, Canada the daughter of Dennis and Lydia (Corbin) Martin.  She lived and worked in St. Leonard, New Brunswick till she married Silas (Tim) Bucey on April 3, 1971 when they moved to Stillman Valley, Illinois.  She obtained her Associates Degree from Rockford Business College in accounting.  Rosita worked for many companies including Madawaska Weavers in St. Leonard, New Brunswick, Glendenning Trucking of Rockford, Brearley Company of Rockford, Gates Rubber of Rockford, Rockford Molded Products, Peoria-Rockford Bus Company, One Stop Financial, Inc. in Rockford.  On August 18, 2014 she opened her own accounting business called RMB Accounting Services, Inc.  She was also a manager and sales representative for Tupperware and was an Electrolux Vacuum Salesperson.  Rosita served her community as a trustee for the town of Stillman Valley, IL.  She was a member of the Stillman Fire Protection District Ladies Auxiliary.  Rosita started the Stillman Valley Junior Bowling League and ran it for many years.  Rosita attended the Stonebridge Church.  She loved sewing, embroidering, and was an avid quilter.  Rosita enjoyed creating at Beryl’s Country Ceramics.  She loved to go camping, Ruffing-It in their 5th wheel RV, going shopping, attending craft shows, but most of all spending time with her loving family and attending her grandchildren’s sporting events.  Rosita is survived by her loving husband of 50 years Tim Bucey of Stillman Valley, sons Robert M. Bucey and his wife Angela (Bolhous) of Winnebago, IL, and Timothy M. Bucey and his wife Ashley (DeLaCruz) of Bay St. Louis, Mississippi; Brothers Jean Bapthiste Martin and Roland (Jeanette) Martin all of St. Leonard, New Brunswick, Canada; sisters Samone Ouelette of Terryville, Connecticut, Theresa Martin of Grand Falls, New Brunswick, Canada, and Denise Martin of Greenville, South Carolina, grandchildren Alex Bolhous, Ethan Bucey, Owen Bucey, Isaac Bucey,  Brooke Bucey, Olivia Bucey, Lauralynn DeLaCruz, and Brayden Bucey, Great grandson Jordan Hawkins, and many nieces and nephews.  A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held 11:00 am, on Saturday, Feb. 12, 2022 at the Kishwaukee Community Evangelical Presbyterian Church near Stillman Valley, IL with the Pastor Scott Nesse officiating. Please ware a mask when attending the service.  Visitation will be held on Friday, Feb. 11, 2022 from 4-7 pm at the Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home, 136 W. Roosevelt Rd. Stillman Valley, IL.  A memorial fund is established in Rosita’s name and may be directed to the family.
