Theresa (Gruzynski) Cundiff

Theresa (Gruzynski) Cundiff, age 97, passed into her heavenly home on February 19, 2026 while at Serenity Hospice Home in Oregon. She was born in Chicago on July 6, 1928 the daughter of William and Katherine (Rzekiec) Gruzynski. She spent her life in the Chicago land area before moving to Mt Morris to spend her remaining years in the care of her daughter. Theresa was a devout catholic with a strong faith in her lord and savior. She enjoyed a good meal and always had a sweet tooth especially for chocolate. She loved spending her time watching Murder She Wrote or doing crossword puzzles. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, children, Susan Cundiff and Michael Cundiff, and siblings, William, Anne, and Delores. She is survived and missed by her children, Elaine (Tom Doyle) Cundiff of Mt Morris, Jimmy Cundiff of Chicago, and Marie Cundiff of Kansas; grandchildren, Robert, William, Catherine, Derek, Joey, and Josh; and many great grandchildren and one great great grandchild on the way. Per Theresa’s wishes no public services are being held at this time. She will be laid to rest by her beloved husband at Maryhill Cemetery in Niles, IL.
