Tracy R. Melges

January 23, 1972 — April 27, 2026

Tracy Rebecca Melges (Nee Anderson), age 54, of Oregon, IL went home to the Lord after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born Jan. 23, 1972 in Sacramento, CA the daughter of Norman and Dianne (Simons) Anderson. She graduated as valedictorian in 1990 from Meridian High School in Meridian, ID, and Cum Laude in 1994 from Willamette University in Salem, OR with a major in psychology. In May of 2000 Tracy received her MS from Aurora University in Therapeutic Recreation. Tracy spent the majority of her working years as a QIDP or case manager for adults with developmental disabilities, as well as an organist for one of several companies and churches. She received her AAS in nursing from Highland Community College in Freeport, IL in 2014. For 4 years Tracy worked as an RN in Illinois and Texas. She will be remembered for her compassion with those less fortunate.

Tracy was preceded in death by her parents Norman and Dianne Anderson, and cousin George M. Alongi. She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Bradley Melges, as well as her two children, Olivia Melges, and Eddie Vonasch, all of Oregon, IL; her mother-in-law Norma (Tripp) Melges of Mount Morris, IL; the Brynn (Melges) & Mark Mathieu family of Byron, IL; as well as additional especially loved aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Cremation rites will be accorded. A memorial service will be announced at a later time. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Village of Progress in Oregon, IL. Please also consider donating any unused instruments to your local school music department in memory of Tracy. Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home in Oregon, IL is assisting the family.
