Trevor G. Goley, age 30, passed away suddenly at St. Anthony's Medical Center of Rockford, IL, on Wednesday, August 19, 2026.
Trevor was born on July 6, 1996, in Rockford, Illinois, to David and Mary Ann Goley. From an early age, Trevor's intelligence, curiosity, and determination were evident. He attended Stillman Valley school, where he excelled both academically and athletically. As a young student, Trevor won the Geography Bee in third, fourth, and fifth grade. In high school, he participated in golf and was recognized for his academic achievements, receiving the Presidential Gold Seal Award for Outstanding Academic Excellence as well as recognition as an Illinois State Scholar.
It was also during high school that Trevor's life took one of its most meaningful turns. Through the golf team, he became friends with Allie Alexander. Their friendship grew into something much more. From that point forward, the two remained by each other's side, eventually becoming husband and wife and building a beautiful life together.
Following high school, Trevor attended the University of Miami, where he became involved with the College Republicans and had the memorable opportunity to attend a presidential debate. After college, Trevor began his professional career in finance and later accounting.
While Trevor accomplished much throughout his life, the titles, awards, and achievements tell only a small part of his story. Trevor was a devoted husband, beloved son and family member, loyal friend, and someone who brought an unmistakable personality and presence to the lives of those fortunate enough to know him.
Above all, Trevor will be remembered for the incredible love and dedication he had for his family. The people he loved were always at the center of his life. There was nothing more important to Trevor than taking care of them, spending time with them, and making memories together.
Trevor and Allie were partners in everything and found their greatest happiness simply experiencing life side by side. Together, they loved camping, boating, traveling, and enjoying the everyday moments that made their life theirs. Trevor was also a devoted Milwaukee Brewers fan, and some of his favorite memories were made cheering on the Brewers alongside Allie. When baseball ended, he could be found cheering on the Miami Hurricanes for football season.
Trevor's love for his family could be seen not only in life's biggest moments, but also in the small, everyday ways he showed up for the people he loved. He was deeply devoted to those closest to him, and that devotion was one of the greatest parts of who he was. The love he gave so freely will remain with his family forever.
Trevor is survived by his loving wife, Allie; his parents, David and Mary Ann Goley; his parents-in-law, Brian and Jeani Alexander; his brother-in-law, Matthew (Trisha) Alexander; Niece Bailey Alexander; his grandmother, Dolores Goley; and numerous other family members and friends who loved him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Harold Goley; his uncle, George Kostilnik; Cousin Jennifer Bevilacqua; and his grandparents, George and Mary Kostilnik.
