Mary A. Barclay, 80, of Oregon, died suddenly Wednesday, March 30, 2016 in Oregon.. Born June 19, 1935 in Tovey, IL the daughter of George and Audrey (Durbin) Merchant. She was a 1953 graduate of Austin High School in Chicago. Mary lived in Oregon since 1977 and was a very active member of St. Mary Catholic Church and its Catholic Daughters of America chapter. She was employed at Progressive Graphics in Oregon for many years and then at Dawson Subscription Services and also worked with the Foster Grandparent Program at local elementary schools. Survived by her son, Gary Barclay of Park Rapids, Minn.; daughters, Audrey (Edgar) Garcia of Mt. Morris and Cheryl (Larry) Angelton of Dixon; grandchildren: Christina (Jesse) Connell, Ian (Melissa Sloan) Barclay, Shawn (Desi) Todd, Marcella Grieson, Victoria (Daniel) Gonzalez and David V. Parker; 12 great grandchildren; sister, Joyce Kesler of Downers Grove; and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents and sister Dolores Fairclough. Funeral Mass will be held at preceded by a visitation beginning at 9:00am and a Rosary Service at 10:30am. Rev. Joseph Naill will officiate. Burial in St. Mary Cemetery, Oregon. Memorials may be directed to the family.
